I’m Mel and this is my running weight loss transformation. I used to be very fit (I played handball, did gymnastics and also Crossfit) but when I started my own business I had to put my work first for a year. This meant I gained 13kg (almost 29lbs). After I realised how much I had let myself go and how self-conscious and unhappy I was, I decided to make a change.

Running wasn’t my favourite sport, but I did it anyway and I got used to running the sprint workouts and longer distances. I followed the instructions my Running Coach gave me in the app and trained 3 – 4 times a week, alone and in a small group. In all weathers.

The hard work was worth it. In 3 months I lost 9kg (almost 20lbs) and got my old confidence back. I even fell in love with running! I still train with the app – I would miss it if I stopped. And now I want to add bodyweight and gym training – not because I have to, but because I like the challenge 🙂

I can safely say that it works. The hard work is worth it. You don’t have to be afraid of running. Get some friends and start. You won’t regret it and it could change your life!
