One the most common, is that they have a purpose in life and know what they want to achieve. Furthermore, they set realistic goals, and move towards their goals step by step. If you set insurmountable or unrealistic goals, you will never be happy. The reason for this is that you will see the goal as unachievable, lose motivation and give up. To attain happiness, you need to sit down and visualize where you want to go in your life, and be realistic about getting to your goals. If you’re realistic, you will achieve your goals and be happy.

The difference between being happy and unhappy is in the mind. If you learn to re program your thought process you can become a happier person, and get more from life.
